okay so i figured it out during stephen merchant’s stand-up show (CRAZY BRILLIANT BY THE WAY I DON’T THINK I’VE LAUGHED HARDER IN MY LIFE)
matt smith is a baby giraffe who doesn’t really understand what his limbs are or know how to control them so he breaks everything and stumbles from place to place
steve is a graceful, fully matured, six foot seven giraffe with complete mastery over every arm and leg and can use them to fuck around with people then exit stage smerch by gliding through doors half his height like ‘laterz’
and you’re like man this guy is awesome
