Y U NO ANSWER ANY OF MY QUESTIONS? A tumblr user c:

ok i’m going to use this as an opportunity to talk about my ask box feelings

mostly i hate feeling like i’m spamming nothing but text/answers instead of drawings (i don’t mind people doing this on my own dashboard but you will basically never convince me that my publishing ten asks in a row is not horribly painfully annoying) and i also get tired of answering asks ridiculously quickly, so when i start to get a cascade of questions most of the time i just stop answering them at all, even privately (right now i have literally two full pages of asks about synesthesia and i don’t have the energy to keep talking about it, honestly)

if you sent me a message that said essentially the same thing as something else i just posted i probably ignored it

if i felt like there was no way for me to answer that didn’t sound really awkward and weird i probably tucked it away

if i saw your ask on my ipod or whatever and made a mental note to answer it later and forgot about it for three days in a row i probably felt too awkward to answer so late so i left it there

i probably just forgot to answer a lot of them

or it might have gotten lost?? i figured the eating-asks thing trickled away a long time ago but i mean sometimes my friends have sent me messages that i expected and then i never got them, when i asked them about it later they said they thought it sent so… i guess that still happens sometimes

basically i have a lot of issues with interacting socially too much on tumblr making me uncomfortable so if i never got back to you don’t take it personally
